Dynamic Predictables releases to the public monthly 30-day mean temperature and cumulative precipitation
predictions on the Tuesday prior to the third Thursday of each preceding month. Graphics with pattern and trend information for the United States NCDC climate divisions can be viewed at: http://www.dynamicpredictables.com
September 2008 temperatures will be seasonal for much of the nation. The Mississippi Valley and much of the Corn
Belt will be warm. Coastal West and border Southwest will be cool.
September 2008 precipitation will be near average with some dryness in California. Patchy dry pockets are
expected east of the Mississippi River generally across the Central Plains and from the Middle Atlantic States into New England. Western Great Plains predicts wet central-south.
All areas have a prediction. There is no default to climatology (EC), i.e. an equal likelihood of
ABOVE AVERAGE, NEAR AVERAGE, and BELOW AVERAGE.**
