January 2008 precipitation will be close to seasonal levels for much of the nation although some heavier than usual moisture could dampen West
Texas and the Pacific Northwest. Dryness is expected in the Southwest, from the Central into the Northern Plains and along the eastern seaboard from Delaware to New England. The Southeast predicts low side of
Average.
